At Le Souk Ceramique (LSC), we do not outsource any of our production. We buy the raw clay and the raw paints and glazes to do all the work ourselves. Most significantly, we paint all our pieces 100-percent freehand: no machinery, no decals, no stencils. We use a team approach to our artwork; the first person will paint the outline of the design, and of course this is done freehand. The next team members will each usually paint in one color or one element of the design and then pass the piece off to the next teammate. On average, there are 6 to 8 artists involved in painting any given design. LSC has benefited from the Worldstock partnership by helping us find a market for our production. With China dominating the ceramics industry, and with our studio being so small with just 54 employees, we are not a major factory.
